Case Introduction

Difficulty in recruiting workers, high labor costs, safety risks, complex management, low level of informatization... Improving logistics efficiency, manufacturers' intralogistics has gradually shifted from traditional operation mode to intelligent automated mode.



Recently, Multiway's automated loading and unloading solution of trucks with gull-wing doors has been successfully launched in a large food and beverage base in Japan, finishing the "last 100 meters" of transportation and building a full-stack intelligent intralogistics.


The project is located in Kochi, Japan, and is in a large food and beverage production base. By introducing the unmanned loading and unloading solution with the "MW-SE15 counterbalanced unmanned forklift" as the hardware carrier, it achieves the full process of automated operation from the delivery of materials to loading of products, and simultaneously achieves information digitization.



In the nearly 10,000 square meters of the back-end process, there are three major areas: the finished product temporary storage area, the packaging area, and the automatic loading area. The finished products are discharged from the conveyor line,  and the unmanned forklift automatically transports them to the packaging area for packaging. After packaging, the unmanned forklift pick up the materials and transport the goods to the finished product temporary storage area for stacking. Finally, by introducing the Multiway Horizons system, the warehouse status (whether there are goods in the warehouse) and the number of stacked layers of goods are detected, and the WMS is fed back to trigger the AGV forklifts for automatic loading and unloading.



The automated loading and unloading solution of trucks with gull-wing doors is equipped with the industry's first visual detection technology to ensure zero gap in loading and increase loading capacity; and when the truck stops, there is no need to use limit slots and limit rods to limit the parking deviation. The vehicle positioning is realized through the vehicle-mounted vision and environmental vision, and the warehouse automatically completes the loading and unloading of goods, finishing intralogistics of the "last 100 meters" from the cargo production line/warehouse to the truck.
