Multiway Robotics' B2 Round Financing Worth Hundreds of Millions of Yuan
Date:2025-04-23
Recently, Multiway Robotics, a leading provider of intelligent intralogistics solutions, announced the completion of a B2-round financing worth hundreds of millions of yuan. This round was led by Puhua Capital, with Plum Ventures participating as a follow-up investor (marking its third consecutive round of investment). Dialogue Capitalserved as its exclusive financial advisor. The funds will primarily be allocated to continuous R&D iteration of core technologies, accelerated global market expansion, and capacity expansion of smart factories, driving the comprehensive automation transformation of global industrial intralogistics.
Founded in 2019, Multiway Robotics is headquartered in Guangming, Shenzhen, and has regional subsidiaries in Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Tongxiang and other places. It has also established branches in international markets such as Atlanta of USA, North Rhine-Westphalia of Germany, Tokyo of Japan and Seoul of South Korea, with business covering more than 30 countries and regions around the world. Multiway Robotics focuses on providing intelligent manufacturing and intelligent logistics solutions based on robots and artificial intelligence technologies. Its customer base covers many key industries such as machinery manufacturing, food and beverage, metallurgical materials, chemical energy, automobile manufacturing, cold chain logistics, etc. Its core customers include China Pingmei, COMAC, China FAW, Haier, Airbus, Japan Sumitomo, Samsung, South Korea LG, South Korea Hanwha, Emerson and other world-renowned companies. It has currently served more than 700 customers in total.
In less than six years, Multiway has emerged as a leader in thehighly competitive logistics automation sector. Through persistent independent innovation and standardization strategy, it has made leapfrog advancementsfrom "technological breakthroughs" to "global deployment”. Chen Wencheng, Founder and CEO of Multiway, stated: "Amidglobal economic fluctuations and pandemic disruptions, we achievedthree milestones in just four years that would typically take competitors six or more years to accomplish:building core technical fortresses, implementing complex scenario applications, andaccelerating globalization".
Complex Scenario Innovation: Solving Industry Pain Points, Pursuing Optimal Efficiency
Unlike traditional logistics automation companies, Multiway takes "complex scenario capabilities" as its core competitiveness and has built intelligent solutions that efficiently support various complex environments with AGV forklifts, AMRs, AGV tow tractors and Four-way shuttles as carriers, including dynamic indoor and outdoor environments, mixed flow of people and vehicles, narrow passages and cold chain applications. Under the technical guidance of high lifting (up to 12 meters), high load (over 5 tons), and high-precision docking (±5mm), Multiway's full range of products has achieved reliable operation in the actual needs of global customers.
In terms of technology, the company has highly independent software and hardware R&D capabilities, and the core system is fully self-developed. The self-development rate of core components (such as LiDAR, ranging sensors, core controllers, etc.) exceeds 80%. Compared with outsourced solutions, it ensures the comprehensive competitive advantage of products in performance and reliability. In addition, Multiway has applied for more than 400 patents covering the entire chain of technology to date, building an unshakable patent moat.
Rooted in China, Expanding Globally: A Market Leap from Ground Zero to Global Presence
As early as the beginning of its business, Multiway Robotics determined the strategic direction of "based in China and deployed globally". Rooted in the Chinese market, the company officially launched commercialization in 2021, and the contracted orders in the first year alone exceeded RMB 60 million. Subsequently, the company quickly promoted the standardization of the entire system in terms of hardware, software and processes, laying a solid foundation for further development of overseas markets.
As of now, Multiway's global layout covers more than 30 countries and regions, and the proportion of overseas market revenue has rapidly increased from less than 10% in the early stage of overseas expansion in 2022 to the current 40%. By setting up localized teams and showrooms in Atlanta of USA, Tokyo of Japan, Seoul of South Korea, and North Rhine-Westphalia of Germany, the company adheres to the concept of "Local team, Local service" to enable China's leading AGV forklifts and intelligent intralogistics solutions to gain a firm foothold in the broader international market.
