Recently, Multiway Robotics provided one-stop intelligent logistics solution for a logistics giant at a railway hub center, featuring unmanned forklifts as the hardware product. This initiative aids the construction of the company's first smart warehouse characterized by unmanned operations and green logistics, aiming to achieve automated operational tasks, visualization of inventory data, and significantly enhanced goods turnover efficiency.
Project Background
The company is a leading global logistics supply chain management enterprise and a large third-party logistics company in Western China, with massive goods throughput. To provide more efficient and robust logistics services, the company collaborated with Multiway Robotics for a comprehensive upgrade of its logistics system, involving various operational scenarios such as loading and unloading platforms, receiving areas, dispatch areas, and picking areas.
Integrated Hardware and Software Solution
To meet the diverse operational requirements of on-site environment, goods loading & lifting, and vehicle adaptability, the "Counterbalanced forklift MW-SE20" was configured, combined with the self-developed WMS warehouse management system and RCS scheduling system, to effectively connect and monitor the flow of goods, equipment, and information. In the vast 4,600-square-meter assembly center, tens of thousands of items are loaded, unloaded, and transported without manual intervention, allowing for "zero-error" automatic storage and retrieval.
WMS Warehouse Management System - Visual Management of Goods Information
The Counterbalanced forklift MW-SE20 is compatible with various pallet types such as two-way and four-way pallets. The WMS warehouse management system updates goods information in real-time, swiftly responding to tasks, and manages inventory data, operations, storage locations, warehouse equipment health, and intelligent reporting. With the unmanned forklift operating round the clock, tens of thousands of pallet goods are accurately, efficiently, and safely stored and retrieved monthly.
RCS Scheduling System - Optimal Path Planning, Task Allocation by Proximity
When multiple vehicles work together, the scheduling system supports multiple vehicles operating in the same space and quickly plans the optimal route to complete tasks in the shortest time. The system also supports dynamic avoidance in complex scenarios and intelligent coordination among multiple vehicles, ensuring safety and overall efficiency, guaranteeing the most efficient operation. Replacing the traditional manual handling model with the unmanned forklift solution not only achieves cost reduction and efficiency improvement in logistics but also optimizes the overall logistics efficiency and enhances corporate operational benefits by effectively connecting storage areas.
